Haamro Kharsaang
Kurseong, known as the perfect midpoint between Siliguri and Darjeeling, has always been more than a stop for tea and refreshments. It is a place of simplicity, where locals start their day as early as 5 AM, embodying a magnetic force that pulls people back home.
The town gained popularity for its British-era boarding schools like St. Helen’s, Dowhill, and Goethals Memorial, which have hosted royalty and Bollywood legends alike.
"Talk to the same set of people after a couple of years in a city, and they will have a longing smile wanting to come back to their Home."
The Bindra Legacy
The journey began with Late Sardar Kesar Singh Bindra, who identified a business opportunity while serving with the Railways. In 1976, he established Amarjeet Restaurant near the Toy Train station, serving hot Samosas and the now-legendary Amarjeet ki Chai.
The business evolved through the second generation under Sr. Satendra Pal Singh and Mrs. Ravinder Bindra. Together, they faced expansion hurdles and health crises with an undeterred spirit, setting a standard for how a family-owned business should run.

Cafe Kurseong Diaries is the brainchild of Jaz (Jaspal Singh Bindra). After success in Siliguri, Jaz returned to his roots with a vision to put Kurseong back on the map of Darjeeling district.
He revamped the family legacy to create a landmark that celebrates the town’s talent. From tables named after historic British schools to cocktails inspired by the "7 turns" of the local roads, every element is a part of Kurseong.
Today, we serve true local flavors like Nanas Momos (Elder Sister's Momos) and Badi ko Aloo Dum, prepared with authentic ingredients from local markets.
